Privacy Policy

SimplyDone Poster ("the app") is run by SimplyDone (the SimplyDoneByJacob Etsy shop), United Kingdom. It uploads short product videos that we make ourselves to the TikTok account that has connected it.

What we collect

• When an account connects: its TikTok open ID, display name and avatar (scope user.info.basic), and the access and refresh tokens TikTok issues to the app.
• For each upload or post: the video file, its caption, and the ID and status TikTok returns (scopes video.upload and video.publish).
• For the videos the app posted: their view counts (scope video.list), to see which products interest people.

We do not collect passwords, contacts, messages, location, watch history or follower lists, and we do not read anyone else's content.

How we use it

Only to upload and publish our own videos to the connected account, to show whether each upload worked, and to count the views of those videos. We do not sell, rent or share this data, and we do not use it for advertising or profiling.

Where it is kept, and for how long

Tokens are stored in an access-restricted file on our own rented server (Hetzner), readable only by the app. Post records (post ID, date, caption, view count) are kept for 24 months for our sales reporting. Video files are deleted 14 days after they are made. Tokens are deleted when the account disconnects the app.

Your rights

You can disconnect the app at any time in TikTok (Settings and privacy > Security > Manage app permissions). Under UK GDPR you can ask us to access, correct or delete your data by writing to (contact email coming soon). You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
